This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of the products and services provided by Permian Forge LLC (IronHaul, IronGuard, IronLedger, and the Permian Forge website, collectively the "Services"). This AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service.
Summary: Use the Services for legitimate business purposes. Don't do anything illegal, harmful, abusive, or that damages our infrastructure or other users.
01Core Rules
When using the Services, you agree to:
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these rules.
- Provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account.
- Respect the privacy and rights of others.
- Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Report security vulnerabilities or suspected abuse to legal@permianforge.com.
02Prohibited Activities
Illegal or Harmful Activities
Strictly Prohibited
- Using the Services to violate any local, state, federal, or international law.
- Promoting illegal activities or conduct that is violent, threatening, or exploitative.
- Engaging in fraud, money laundering, or tax evasion.
- Violating intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights of others.
- Posting content that is defamatory, obscene, or discriminatory.
Security Violations
Strictly Prohibited
- Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or network.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of any system without authorization.
- Bypassing authentication, rate limits, or access controls.
- Uploading or transmitting viruses, worms, malware, or malicious code.
- Impersonating others or misrepresenting your affiliation.
- Sharing account credentials with unauthorized users.
Service Abuse
Strictly Prohibited
- Interfering with or disrupting the Services, servers, or networks.
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) without written permission.
- Creating excessive load intended to degrade performance for others.
- Circumventing usage limits or fair use restrictions.
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or copying the Services.
- Using the Services to build a competing product.
- Reselling or sublicensing access to the Services without authorization.
Data & Content Violations
Strictly Prohibited
- Uploading data you do not have the right to share.
- Collecting personal information about other users without consent.
- Using the Services to send spam or unsolicited communications.
- Uploading content that contains malware, phishing links, or harmful code.
- Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent business records.
- Using the Services to harass, threaten, or stalk individuals.
03Fair Use & Performance
The Services are designed for typical oilfield business operations. Reasonable use includes:
- Creating tickets, invoices, inspections, and business records at the pace of your normal operations.
- Uploading photos, signatures, and documents at standard sizes.
- Running analytics queries and generating reports.
- Integrating with approved third-party services (QuickBooks, email, and similar).
We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or investigate activity that appears abnormal, such as excessive API calls, unusually large file uploads, or rapid-fire automated requests. If your legitimate business needs approach these limits, contact us and we can discuss enterprise arrangements.
04Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content, accuracy, and legality of data you enter into the Services. This includes:
- Tickets and invoices: must reflect actual work performed.
- Safety records: must be truthful and complete.
- Inspection reports: must be genuine and conducted by authorized personnel.
- Vendor and customer information: must not violate privacy or confidentiality obligations.
- Photos and signatures: must have authorization from the individuals depicted or signing.
Falsifying safety inspections, invoices, or compliance records is not only a violation of this AUP. It may also be a violation of state or federal law.
05Reporting Violations
If you become aware of a violation of this AUP, please report it immediately to legal@permianforge.com. Include:
- A description of the issue.
- Relevant URLs, account identifiers, or screenshots.
- Your contact information so we can follow up.
We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly. Reports made in good faith will be kept confidential to the extent possible.
06Enforcement
If we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated this AUP, we may take any of the following actions:
- Issue a warning.
- Restrict or suspend access to specific features.
- Suspend your account pending investigation.
- Terminate your account and delete your data.
- Remove or disable infringing content.
- Report violations to law enforcement.
- Take legal action to recover damages or enforce these terms.
We will attempt to notify you before taking action when it is safe and appropriate to do so. For severe violations (security breaches, illegal activity, or threats to other users), we may act immediately without prior notice.
07Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, contact legal@permianforge.com within 30 days to request a review. We will review appeals in good faith and respond within 14 business days.
08Changes to This Policy
We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or via a notice in the Services at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised AUP.
